Fried Rice with Hot Twist

Get ready to Wok & Roll. Starting with our classic fried rice recipe to create this Asian inspired recipe. This is just one of many ways you can customize low protein rice into a flavorful meal.

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

  • 150 g (5 oz) Loprofin Rice (about 2/3 cup when measured dry), cooked
  • 1 medium spring onion, chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 100 g (3 oz) bok choi, chopped (1 1/2 cups chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic purée (or about 1 small garlic clove, chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp light soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Heat a wok or non-stick pan and add 2 Tbsp olive oil.
  2. When the oil is heated, add the onion, peppers, bok choi, garlic purée and cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. Add the cooked Loprofin Rice to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously using a wooden spoon.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
